I sat today in deep thought,
my memories became renewed.
To a time my soul stayed lost
in the eyes of a love that I
once knew.

I felt it pause, then beat again
my heart, was all a flutter.
As my mind revisited the pathways
back to a love unlike no other.

The sweet simple smile that
lit your face,the softness of your skin.
The gentle embrace my heart longs for
that was lost so way back when.

But,my memories they still linger,
as fresh as the morning dew.
They bring me back to a love so pure,
they bring me back to you.
